Ferguson: Scholes is not replaceable

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson admitted difficulty in finding a replacement of Paul Scholes (37) and that's one reason to call Scholes back to playing.

Scholes retired in July 2011 and returned to play in January 2012. Initially, Scholes is only asked to help until the end of last season, but in May last, he signed a new contract is valid until June 30, 2013.

"A year ago, he was my reserve team coach. Now, he returns to play and everyone is tied with Manchester United is very excited because he is a fantastic player," Ferguson said.

"For too long, efforts to replace Paul is a different matter. It would be very difficult to find a replacement. Looking for a replacement of a player like him is difficult for anyone," he added.
